The Tiger Tour-New Zealand Golf and Land

The golfing legacy of hedge fund legend Julian Robertson may never match that of The Tiger Fund, but the American financier is determined to deliver comparable value to ambitious golf holiday-makers who've got the stripes.Tiger Woods is not involved here - combines the best golf courses in the world, New Zealand’s finest lodges and warm, and the opportunity to meet real New Zealand personalities; it is the personal vision of Julian H. Robertson, the properties creator. This one-of-a-kind tour is scheduled for March 12th -20th, 2012 and will cost around$27,000 per couple for the 8-night/9-day tour of the gorgeous and award winning New Zealand luxury lodges Robertson and his family have developed.

The Tiger Tour includes much that is well known and been repeatedly feted by the world travel press:

• The Lodge at Kauri Cliffs was rated the 6th best hotel in the world, according to the 2011 Condé Nast Traveller readers’ poll.
• In 2010, The Farm at Cape Kidnappers was named to Travel+Leisure’s “World’s Top 50 Hotels”.
• Not 12 months post opening, Tatler Magazine had named Matakauri Lodge to its list of the top 101 hotels in the world.

• The GOLF Magazine World Top 100 features both Kauri Cliffs (#80) and Cape Kidnappers (#33). No two resort tracks in Asia-Pacific rank higher.
Yet The Tiger Tour does reveal much of the Robertson family’s personal touch.
• Robertson's son Jay personally oversees all three lodges in the resort group.
• The lodge decor at Kauri Cliffs and Cape Kidnappers both bear the imprint of Robertson's late wife Josie.
• The family's EC-130 helicopter provides dramatic bird's-eye tours of the New Zealand landscape, while also conveniently linking resort guests to Auckland International Airport.
